Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flight Attendant and Hospitality Instructor to join our educational institution. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and guidance to students pursuing a career in the airline industry and hospitality sector. Your expertise in flight attendant duties, customer service, safety procedures, and hospitality principles will be instrumental in preparing students for successful careers in this field.

Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development: Develop and enhance curriculum materials, lesson plans, and educational resources that align with industry standards and academic requirements. Stay updated with current airline industry practices and hospitality trends to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and comprehensive.

2. Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging and informative lectures, presentations, and workshops on topics related to flight attendant responsibilities, customer service, safety procedures, and hospitality principles. Utilize various teaching methods, such as role-playing exercises, case studies, simulations, and multimedia tools, to facilitate student learning and practical application.

3. Practical Training: Organize and supervise practical training activities, including emergency evacuation drills, inflight service simulations, and customer interaction exercises, to provide students with hands-on experience in flight attendant duties and hospitality skills. Ensure students understand and adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.

4. Student Assessment: Develop and administer assessments, exams, and practical evaluations to assess students' understanding and proficiency in flight attendant responsibilities and hospitality practices. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support students' ongoing development and improvement.

5. Safety and Emergency Procedures: Train students on safety and emergency procedures, including evacuation protocols, first aid, and aircraft security measures. Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices to ensure students are prepared for real-life situations.

6. Customer Service and Communication Skills: Teach students effective customer service techniques, communication skills, and conflict resolution strategies specific to the airline industry and hospitality sector. Provide guidance on maintaining a professional demeanor and delivering exceptional service to passengers.

7. Industry Engagement: Foster connections and partnerships with airline companies, aviation organizations, and hospitality establishments to provide students with exposure to industry practices and networking opportunities. Arrange guest speakers, industry visits, and internships to enhance students' understanding of the industry.

8. Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining student records, monitoring attendance, and preparing reports on student performance and program outcomes. Collaborate with the program coordinator and administrative staff to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Aviation, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in flight attendant procedures and customer service are desirable.

2. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a flight attendant or in a related role within the airline industry. Teaching or training experience is preferred.

3. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of flight attendant duties, airline safety regulations, customer service practices, and hospitality principles. Familiarity with inflight service procedures, cabin crew operations, and airline emergency protocols. 4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and instructions to students. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.

5. Instructional Abilities: Demonstrated ability to develop engaging and interactive instructional materials, facilitate classroom discussions, and provide valuable feedback to students. Proficiency in using various teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles.

6. Leadership and Organization: Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire students, create a positive learning environment, and manage classroom dynamics effectively. Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
